I really liked the visual design. The first part is light, witty, and genuinely funny; later on, the hot-blooded battle arc felt a bit disjointed for me—perhaps influenced by the earlier short film from Chinese Tales and the movie's own opening—but overall it still worked.

Movie Doraemon: Nobita's Painting Adventure

It exceeded my expectations—one of the better Doraemon movie plots I've seen in recent years. There are plenty of early setups, the main cast is written particularly well, and Shizuka feels refreshingly different from her usual movie portrayal. She doesn't have many shots, but her character arc really lands.
